Do you want to see a real live robot? Look at this!

Introducing Binbot.

He is about 5 metres tall? Although he is quite big he hasn’t been known to hurt anyone, well not intentionally anyway!

Can you work out what he is made of? What other Bot that has appeared in this blog might he be related too?

Rosie the Wombat

Liam writes . . .
Today a local man brought in a baby wombat to show the people in our school. We got to pat the wombat.
Everyone was amazed to see a wombat. They asked if it was a boy or a girl. She is a girl called Rosie.
When we put Rosie on the floor she crawled around.
We learned wombats eat lots and lots of grass, they live in holes and have long claws to dig the holes and for finding roots to eat.

Lara was inspired to write a story about a magical wombat . . .
I’m Lucy a girl from the bush. I have a magical cloud. Whatever I want I get. I don’t use the magical cloud for greedy I only use it for good.
One day I wished the cloud would bring me a wombat.
She was so cute when I saw her. I had to hide her from Mum and Dad, of course they do not know.
I am so happy.
All I wanted was a happy life!

Kailey also put a fantasy spin on her wombat story . . .
“Hello” said Katie to her friend as they were coming through the door.
“I can’t wait until Club Gift time,” she whispered to herself.
It was gifting pet day. They had to use their money to buy a pet and gift it.
First it was Rosie’s turn to give Bella hers. She got a little kitten. Now it’s Katana’s turn to give Ava her gift. Her gift was a hamster.
Now Seraphina has to give me a gift. Mine is a wombat!

Our State Member of Parliament Mr Paul Toole visited

Miss Bradford writes:

First of all we took Mr Toole to Kinder Yellow. After we had a look through their classroom then we moved to 1/2 Orange in the Stage 1 building. They were looking at the book  “Mirror” we are studying.

After that class the school leaders took us to 3/4 I. After Mr Toole had a chat to their teacher we moved on to Mrs Holmes class.

They were busy making books on the computer and on the Ipads. They were making fact books, description books about Brazil and that is where the tour ended.
